Select Precious Mountain Woods

Experienced master craftsmen create our models in various finishings. The following finishings are available.

  • NAT = natural: figure with the wood left untreated
  • GEB = stained: stained with light brown wax stain and polished with wax
  • 2FG = stained in 2 shades: graded with light-and-dark brown wax stain and polished with wax
  • ANT = patina: coated with colour pigments on crazed gesso and gilded with composition gold
  • COL = colored: delicately painted with scumbling oil paint on pyroxylin varnish and gilded with composition gold
  • EGA = gold leaf antique: painted in antique style on crazed gesso, patinated and gilded with a 23 carat genuine gold foil
  • EGN = gold leaf polished: painted on crazed gesso, patinated and gilded with a 23 carat genuine gold foil
  • EGU = gold leaf ULI : especially beautilful painting method. Painted on crazed gesso, patinated and gilded with a 23 carat genuine gold foi

Workmanship and Finishes

  • ZFS = finishes: rough shape for finishing
  • WAS = water colours: painted with water colours
  • A = sanded: sanded in maple
  • G = carved: handcarved in limewood
